Thyroxine

Hi I'm now on 175 thyroxine.

I'm guessing I've hashi as I had tgab originally.

I was fine for years on 125/150. Pregnancy had had me all over and I'm now 21 months post partum. Last two tshs were 2.3 and I'm struggling with hypermobility, weakness, tendonitis. I've been on sertraline for a year and still breastfeeding (which keeps me sane!)

I don't weigh much - 8.2. I'm surprised I need so much?

Getting coeliac test soon.

Is hypermobility linked to hashimoto's then? I have both but have never heard of there being any connection. What's TGAB by the way?

Um I don't know; I've always been bendy but now feeling the down side of that! Low thyroid can affect muscle strength a little and bendy joints need supportive muscles to help stabilise them. I used to do more exercise than now so am suffering there too!

TgAb are antibodies.

Your levels are slightly over.

With hypo the treatment aim is to keep TSH levels below 2.
