Dothiepin, but took 50mg instead of 75mg that normally works up to 150mg. worked a treat

I take amitryptiline 10mg every night. It does help and because it's such a low dose i don't feel groggy or anything

I take mine because i have (what i think is fybromyalgia) a form of chronic pain. Sometimes i cannot sleep, or i was waking very early (3am) or cannot get to sleep straight away. I was a bit reluctant at first, but i do feel better, mainly because i'm getting a good sleep. Although the pain is still there, i can cope better with it when i have had a good sleep. You have been through a lot and not sleeping won't help - although i do appreciate you must be finding it difficult.
Give it a go, it really helps me. Did your GP say what kind they would be?

Yorkie girl

So sorry about your dh, have read some of your other posts. Have they tried zopiclone? That is the most common sleeper we use. Don't know which Antidep they were talking about but good luck, lack of sleep is hell... xx

Hi Yorkiegirl,
How are you, think of you often and saw your lovely pictures. I am in a quandry atm, I am having anxiety attacks with horrible real symptems, my doc prescrobed a low dose anti depressant called Citalopram 10mgs one a day. I took one then have stopped because it says you have to be on them for at least three months then be weaned off of them, I really don`t want that. I too am sleeping badly, up at 4am today, horrible sensations in my head, feeling scared, I believe its the past 12 years catching up on me, losing Matthew, then having triplets at 46! Hope you can find some peace, like me I expect its your beautiful children that keep you going, lots of love xxx

Yes I was on amnitryptiline 10mg for a while there as i also have Fibromyalgia - so it was to help me to sleep as lack of sleep is one of the main aggravators of the illness.
I found personally that they made me groggy in the morning. Did help me sleep though!
