Bizarre snoring question

The last couple of days I have noticed that I'm struggling not to snore whilst awake.

Let me explain, you know in that semi awake dreamlike sleep where you're aware you're muscles are relaxing and you can feel yourself beginning to snore? My throat feels like that but even whilst wide awake and active. I'm having to concentrate on not snoring when just breathing normally.

It's driving me mad. Has anyone had anything similar? Or know what it could be?

Hmm. Am overweight but joined slimming world and gym to try and rectify, nothing new other than that although have occasionally had to resort to herbal sleeping tablets to sleep before work. I just wasn't sure what it could be. I'm having to really concentrate on breathing!
