My dd is 16mths and normally sleeps well but lately has been waking up twice or so in the night and drinking a 9oz bottle of milk each time, she's so drowsy she keeps falling asleep while drinking but if I try to take away the bottle she wakes and snatches it back only to hold on to it and take the occasional sip. I've tried putting a bottle in her cot so she can find it and drink if she wakes and is thirsty but that concept is beyond her seemingly.

She also wakes up very sweaty sometimes when it's not really that hot in her room, I have her in only a babygro and 0.5 tog sleeping bag.

I'm a bit worried, anyone got advice?

Sounds like a comfort thing to me
Does she drink a lot in the day?

My DD is the same - drinks some amount of juice (well diluted mi wadi or fruit juice) during the day and at night. Always seems to be asking for a drink. I try not to get too worried about it as i know that plenty of fluids is good for the system.
I think at this stage its more habit now than anything..but I also tend to get very thirsty at night too so maybe she takes after me.
She also sweats an awful lot when she sleeps (drowns the pillow) but i read that thats normal in toddlers as they arent great at regulating their own temperature?
