Have been on ad for 2.5 months and am having a really bad day. I have some diazepam at home could I take one tonight?

I take Clonazapam with sertraline. It's also an SSRi & Diazapam is from the same group as Clonazapam. Maybe nip into a chemist or phone up your local one & ask if ok.

Fluoxetine will increase the level or effect of diazepam in your circulation through action on the liver. Just be aware that you might feel more sleepy. It's not a combo I would routinely prescribe as I prefer lorazepam. Be careful.

Thanks, sleepy is kind of what I'm looking for tbh, have not been sleeping well on them for the last 6 weeks. Have been very emotional and making some pretty big decisions and wondering if sleep would help.

its fine to take diazepam with fluoxetine as long as you limit the dose. Do you take your fluoxetine in the morning

MollyBdenum · 23/09/2014 20:36

I was prescribed diazepam to deal with the side effects of fluoxetine.

Thanks all didn't take it in the end, had a massive barny with Dh Sad

Woke up at 2am and took ages to get back off and alarm goes off at 5am. Maybe I should just go to bed at 7 pm with the kids.

I might try it tonight, or wait till Friday night when I don't have to drive the next day.

I take mine in the morning.
