Sore after sex

Hi,

I'm 42 and has two DCs. Two years ago, I had a prolapse repair done. I also had a Fallopian tube removed due to cysts and a laparoscopy as I had some pelvic pain. Since then I have felt slightly sore down below after sex. Immediately afterwards I sometimes get a very small amount of spotting that seems to be coming from the area of soreness. We've used lubricant and that has really improved things.

Should I see my GP? I also suffer from severe health anxiety caused by the death of my mum. I'm an antidepressants and have previously felt suicidal because of my depression. I know that due to my health anxiety, I don't always think logically.

Have you had a smear recently?
Bleeding after sex should be looked at by a doc. It is probably some scar tissue from you surgery rubbing or something very simple like that. Or possibly if you are starting the menopause just dryness as you said the lube helped. The docs can give you treatments to help and check there's no problems.

Probably best to be checked. A cervical erosion could cause bleeding.
