Hello!

Just wanted to say hi and wave at any other 'bendy' people on here.

I might be being overly chipper but after months of pain, I got stronger painkillers today from the docs and I feel amazing!

Am currently waiting for a referral to the rheumatologist for confirmation of diagnosis.

DD (5) and I (39) are bendy people - but she is more bendy than me!

I'm also a bendy and suspect the kiddies might be too.
I come from a very bendy family - my 3 siblings and my mum and its likely that my grandmother and at least one of her sisters is bendy too.

Hi, just been diagnosed with eds hypermobility after 15 years of been ing ill and in pain. It never occurred to me that my problems were due to my bendiness. As my whole family are all very bendy, I just thought that it was everyone else who were very unbendy and abnormal!!
Getting a diagnosis and the right pain meds makes all the difference. I at least feel that I can be a bit more proactive in knowing what to do to help myself improve.

I was finally diagnosed and hypermobile (and arthritic) last October. Dd was diagnosed long since.
I am relieved that I have finally been diagnosed, as I have been complaining about my joints for years.
I hope you get some appropriate treatment for your symptoms although, for me, I seemingly have to fight for Lodine on a repeat prescription as it's expensive.

Hello! My 2 DC and I were all diagnosed with classical EDS earlier this year, DD is the worst affected of us all and it was her motor delay that led to our family of bendies being diagnosed. In retrospect it does explain a lot of issues I've had in the past but overall my eldest and I seem to have got off pretty lightly
