Piles! Help!

I've never had piles before. I'm 54, never even think about my bowels until a couple of days ago when I was constipated (first time since pregnancy 10 yrs ago). Now I have piles. Yuk. Any suggestions for effective treatment of pain, itching, discomfort etc. I'm a music teacher and I can't sit down to play the piano Blush

Hydrocortisone cream applied intermittently with Anusol cream.

Freeze water in a condom Blush applied to the area

I feel your pain, OP!

Yy the condom thing works really well.
And sitz baths, two or three times a day.

You can have laser treatment to permanently ligate the offending blood vessels, as once they go they tend to keep doing it.

Definitely buy pile cream and apply it regulary. Wearing a pant liner will stop it going on your pants.

Try tea tree oil on a cold cloth, try to include more fibre in your diet and drink plenty of water. In addition you can try sitzbaths and creams. But you should also see a doctor and get it checked out. In some cases it is best to have them removed. If dietary changes and so on don't help I can recommend you the thd method. I had mine removed with this method and have been hemorrhoid free ever since. It is a method that is less painless and can be done ambulant. So basically after a week you are back to normal. Good luck!
