The Weight Gain Club!

SaintGeorge came up with this idea for a discussion/support group for anyone who wants to put weight on - the healthy way.

I think it's assumed that if you are thin for whatever reason that all you need to do is resort to chips and beer (I wish!) in order to put weight on. I've found a few tips here on how to gain weight

Any ideas, experiences etc most welcome!

Cheers Mercy.

Well on the exercise front I think I am doing the right thing. Recently started working as a dinner lady so get 1.5 hrs every day on my feet and constantly walking around. Lots of squatting down to the little kids too so if nothing else I will have rock solid thighs by next year

I'll join your club although I am not bothered by it so much anymore, other people seem more bothered about my weight than me. I eat like a horse , sit on my bum at work all day, still the same weight as I was as 16 and am nearly 36 now.
I must admit have never been to the Gym although that might be worth a try cause don't they say it can help you gain weight if you have the right programme. All this size 0 stuff in the news is a bit annoying though cause people start going on at me again

lol SaintGeorge - and hello Curlysmum!

Got to go and feed the children but will be back later this evening. I think I may have a bit of a rant on this thread

Hope poppiesinaline sees this - where are you?!

Remember Mercy - very important to eat anything they leave

I think I'm going to keep a food diary as I think my problem is that I don't eat enough basically.

I know a woman is meant to have 2000 calories a day but I don't know what that actually means in terms of amount or type of food.

I have no idea either Mercy.

I have a problem with lack of appetite. I will eat a big evening meal every single night - because dh is there and I am cooking for the family. Once I start preparing food, my appetite kicks in and I'm away.

During the day when I am alone, I don't think about food so I don't always eat. Weekends, holidays - no worries. School days -

Having said that - since starting working again at the beginning of term, I have started eating lunch.

Watching 300+ kids stuff their faces is working out pretty good for me.
