My 18 month old has clicky joints, mainly hips and feet but also in knees wrists and shoulders. I am just wondering if anyone is experiencing same problems

I took her to the a month ago docs he seem quite concerned but when checked her out he could feel it only in her knees.. he asked me to come back in a month..

Ive been back today as she is still exactly the same clicking all over but in his 2 minute examination he felt it in her ankles but again not her hips. but as soon as I got her into the car her wrists started clicking and her hips again. He said he might refer her but needs to speak to another doctor.

I am just wondering if anyone eles has had this: any advice I would appreciate xx

Not entirely sure I can help, but hopefully someone else will be able to.

The only experience I have of this is my daughter - aged 15 - who has terribly clicking joints due to hypermobility. For her it is nothing to worry about, it just sounds awful. She just has to be careful her joints don't move too far out of place and sprain. We have been told to work on the muscles around the joints that click to support them .

Is anyone in the family hypermobile, as it tends to run in families. Ask the doctor to check, although it's quite hard to diagnose in little ones as the are all quite bendy.

Good luck with the doctor, if I were you I would keep pushing for a referral, it might be something or nothing, but should be checked to give you peace of mind.
