Endoscopy Q

I was referred to the hospital on 17th July to have a endoscopy to have gallbladder sludge poked away. Almost a month on I still don't have a appointment......do appointments for this usually take this long? I'm hoping nothings be lost in post etc

Hi yes they can take a while unless GP states urgent then it is within 2 weeks, if the gp is referring you I would ring surgery and ask whether letter has been sent yet, my gp told me what department to contact and I called direct. Good luck

Thankyou I'm guessing it wasn't marked as urgent even tho two days beforehand I ended up in a&e with pain and hadn't eaten for 10 days for fear of being ill.

I'll hold off a little longer now I know these appointments can take a while.
