My dd is 13 wks now, and has started teething, bottom jaw, seems to be in a few places.
She has changed into a little monster!!!
Calpol and baby bonjela don't seem to help, well, calpol does but I dont want to drug her indefinately...how long does this nightmare last? is it with every tooth? also she is breast fed and has started gnawing away- how do I discourage that? she is a sweetie and it tears me up that she is in so much pain...who has been thru this???

Hi, my ds was like this. It took a while to realise that he was teething and not just a monster! Give the calpol when needed also Medised is good at night ( please check if he is old enough) It does seem to go on forever and you think you will never stop giving the drugs but you will one day look back and see its all over. My ds is 16 months and is just teething his canines, he seems to have had batches of 4 teeth at a go, so he has stuggled poor darling.

DS is 16 weeks and teething. my HV recommended Anbesol, it helps a lot more than teething gels.

Also try Boots homeopathic teething powders, I found them great. Was recommended ashton and parsons by Hv but they were rubbish, Boots ones really seemed to help tho. Have fun!!
