Hashimotos affecting periods?

I was diagnosed with hashimotos thyroiditis in early pregnancy with DS3. I had a perfect pregnancy with DS1, but lost DS2 (probably due to undiagnosed Hashimotos) when I was 36 weeks pregnant. We are now ttc again (DS3 is 18 months).

So I stopped the pill in June. First period was after 28 days, 2nd 27 days, 3rd 26 days and now I just got a period after 21 days! Whenever I've come off the pill before I've gone straight onto a 28 day cycle and been pregnant within 3 months. My thyroid tests are normal (saw endocrinologist last week) so I've no idea what's going on. Is there anyone here with experience of hashimotos who's had a similar experience? I'm seeing my gynaecologist next week, but am just starting to worry that I won't be able to get pregnant again now I have hashimotos :-(

Hi I'm sorry to here about your ds2. I have hashimotos and my periods are really heavy they are quite regular but same as you jump around a bit. Usually between 24 and 34 days between them. I had my first two children before I got hashimotos and fell pregnant straight away with both but was trying last year for a 3rd and had no luck at all in the end we have given up. Does your endo know you are ttc even if your levels are within range you may still benefit from treatment.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, the endo knows I'm ttc again. His comment when I mentioned the periods was that it takes some time for these things to settle down! I've got myself an appointment with a different endo for Friday as thankfully where I live (Belgium) you don't have to wait to be referred. He specialises in thyroid and pregnancy so I'm hoping he can help. I always got pregnant straight away before so this is all a bit worrying for me. We had our hearts set on a bigger family Hmm I'm hoping that thing can get sorted by playing around with my medication. Can I ask how much Levothyroxine you take? I'm only on 25microgrammes...
