Gastric reflux

After two years of intermittent bouts of vomiting for upto a week at a time, usually putting me in hospital as nothing is kept down and having had cameras down my throat and various medications, I ended up back in A&E again on Saturday. They have now suggested gastric reflux and I need to make a doctors appointment.

Am currently on 20mg Omaprazole twice a day and 4-6 hourly gaviscone and paracetamol. Plus small sips of water half hourly.

If it is Reflux what is likely to be the outcome for meds and lifestyle changes?
I know I need to loose some weight but that's an ongoing thing.

Also can anyone suggest anything that I can eat as am currently scared to start eating food again as this bout was fast and harsher that the other.

consultants told me dont eat or drink 3 hours before bed
have 2 spoons of peptac before bed and sleep raised
dont eat tomato or onion based foods ,no caffeine or alcohol.
if overweight ,slim down.

if theyve done an endoscopy ,what did they find?
they would have dx gastric relux then surely?

i have reflux my valves dont close properly
i need a nasal tube in my stomach for 24 hrs soon to see how bad it is.
consultant thinks theyll have to operate to tighten the top one.
