Can I give Calpol if I've just given Tixylix?

That's my question! Dd has a streaming cold and I've give her some Tixylix already but she's now complaining of a headache. Can I give her some Calpol too?

I think so - not sure what's in Tixylix but didn't think it had paracetamol - I will google

(How about ibuprofen to be going on with?)

Not sure of composition of Tixylix. But if there is no Paracetamol in it, then there is no medical reason why not.

looks OK - it has a cough suppressant and a sedative and it doesn't say it shouldn't be mixed.

The Tixylix has Pholcodeine in it which is a cough supressant - I just checked in my book of medications (I'm a medical secretary!). That's a good idea Ursula, I do have Ibuprofen as well.

Thanks guys. I knew I could rely on you lot, my decision making is being hampered by a couple of glasses of wine here!.
