I'm desparate to lose weight & during the day can be very controlled but as soon as the 3 dd's have gone to bed I lose all discipline & just cannot stop eating. Please advise how to stop, it is such a comfort to me after a tiring day with the 3 little 'uns

Well, first of all, don't change anything except get some paper and a pen and whenever you eat and drink something during the day, write it down. Do the same for the evening. Forget about whether it's healthy or not, just write everything down.

I found that often, I wasn't eating (and sometimes drinking) anything until between 12.30 and 1.00pm. Sometimes I'd get to 4.00pm and I'd had nothing. This had a disastrous effect on my weight because I would snack on high sugar, high fat snacks to get me through to ds1's bedtime, then my blood sugar would plummet (because I'd get a sugar rush and then a big low) and then I'd spend the evening eating because I felt starving.

It's not easy to change if it is a rut you have fallen into, but it can be done.
