Any idea what the hell this weird spot might be?!

Beauty therapist noticed this yesterday when waxing my legs (before she had done that bit). It is about 1cm across and 0.5cm top to bottom. The centre is raised and the spot in the middle is dark red and a hard little lump then is is paler then a darker edge.

Not itchy or painful.

I have terrible health anxiety so need to get a better idea of whether I should be concerned or not. The beautician was a bit weirded out by it and said to go to the GP if it changed. I don't think it is a mole. It hasn't changed since yesterday.

Any ideas?

Hmmm you should have put a Klaxon in your thread title to attract the Sporners... One of them is bound to recognise it. I wonder if it's some sort of boil... I would get a GP to have a look at it next week (and I'd probably spend the weekend attempting to squeeze it!)

Could be a tic bite. I would book a GP's appointment to be on the safe side.

I assume it's not a mole

Possibly a herald patch for pityriasis rosea, which is a virus type harmless rash which comes out a few days after the original 'herald patch' and lasts a few weeks.

I don't think there is a mole there.

Possibly lightas although it isn't scaly...

Yes it was the ring round it which made me think that, is it your lower leg as it could also possibly be a tick bite as they can have a ring. I would go to your GP in case it is that and you need antibiotics

No it is my thigh just above the knee. Hmm can't imagine where I would have encountered a tick but I guess it is possible.

Yes you generally get ticks from undergrowth and also I'm sure you would know because I think they hang on.
