Today I had micro abrasion done on my teeth. My gums are still bleeding - after 6 hours. Is this usual?

Do you mean the heavy duty "exfoliation" to remove surface stains?

Yes, though gums hv more or less stopped bleeding now. They re still tender n sore tho

They really should not bleed at all. They should be protected from the micro abrasion chemicals / pumice. Now they've stopped they're probably a bit inflamed or bruised. I'd rinse with something soothing but not likely to stain (the teeth will be a bit porous and susceptible to staining right now). I'd go for hot saltwater: a teaspoon of salt in half a cup of water at warm as you'd drink a hot drink. Do it as often as you like.

Thanks Bonzo. They weren t protected at all during the procedure. What should they have been protected with?
