Persona questions - anyone using it as contraception?

I'm interested in trying it. I've posted before about my total un-sortedness - we are supposed to be using condoms but in reality dh gets off at Paisley. Risky! Persona plus condoms on fertile days seems like a good option - and I could carry on using it if we want to ttc again. But it's pricey and even the test sticks cost £9.99 for 1 cycle's worth.

So - do you have to keep using the test sticks for ever? Or do you just do it for a few months til you have got a pattern? And is it a good thing in general?

I bought it years ago and found it was unsuitable for me - I had cycles of 35 days sometimes so read all the smallprint. sorry don't know much else. Lol at "paisley" a girl I used to work with dh used to say "jumping out at Partick" referring to unerground.. watch out she fell pregnant with ds3 that way

Thanks colette. Jumping out at Partick

I've heard so many stories (mostly on here) about folk falling pg like this and it has freaked me out. I usually have quite regular cycles so thought it might be a goer for me.

I know three women who used Persona machines as a contraceptive.

Would you like to know how I met them? They were all at our NCT ante-natal classes because they had all fallen pregnant within five or six months of starting to use the machine. They claim they were using it as per the instructions, and all were using condoms on what the machine indentified as fertile days.

Haha Wigwambam! Oh gawd. Maybe I should just save the £65 and swallow the condoms (not literally you understand).
