Big Toe Pain

Since Sunday, I've been getting this dull ache on and off in the underside of my left big toe. It feels like the ache is in the bone rather than muscle, though I can't be sure.

It's not a terrible pain though it is a dull ache that lasts a few seconds then goes. This happens regularly throughout the day though it tends to happen a lot more at night.

Because it's so intermittent and not a terrible pain, I'm not sure I should go to the doctors about it. However, I wondered if any of you could shed some light on what it might be? I am hypermobile so I'm no stranger to joint pain - I also have Raynauds if this could be connected...

I should add - it doesn't feel like a sprain or anything. I'm not majorly active and the day the pain started, I had been in bed all day due to back pain (scoliosis too).
