Should I use mouthwash?

I used it for ages and then one dentist told me it was better to brush my teeth and then just spit, not to rinse with anything. Is this right? (Clearly MN are more knowledgeable than my dentist )

According to my dentist, mouthwash makes an excellent toilet cleaner!

Dentist here, I never use mouthwash. Fluoride content much lower than in toothpaste, so if you mouthwash after brushing you are washing all the good stuff away. Save your money
