Feeling full, sick and faint...

Ok so this is probably nothing but this has happened to me before - a year ago.

Basically I woke up feeling extremely full and that continued throughout the day (like sick to the stomach full) so i struggled to eat during the day but I still made sure I ate something although probably wasn't enough.

It got to the evening and I nearly passed out...vision blurred, starting blacking out, feeling incredibly sick and felt like my heart was going to explode! I became very weak and couldn't stand. (I was probably panicking because i was about to faint or something!) Anyway after a few moments and panic it passed...

Now yesterday I had the same thing - woke up feeling incredibly full. I still ate during the day but not as much as I normally would. Came to the evening and I felt incredibly faint so had some food but found that didnt really help. And this morning i feel so light headed and sick.

This is probably down to low sugar level or something but I was wondering maybe it is in connection with the pill? I am on dianette and started taking it again recently (literally started taking it the past few days) so I'm thinking there might be some correlation!

The feeling of fullness and sick is really odd though!

It could be the pill. I has a similar reaction to Yasmin. Maybe ring the pharmacist you got them from & ask for advice. I also took Cyproterone which is the anti androgenic property in the Dianette pill. I has a bad headache & felt terrible for a few days. I was not taking it for contraception but for hairloss. It does sound like a side effect.

Just found these list of side effects.

Stop taking Diane-35 ED and see your doctor immediately if you notice possible signs of thrombosis (blood clot). These include:

pain in the chest, arm, or below the breastbone
discomfort radiating to the back
breathlessness and/or difficulty breathing
swelling, pain or tenderness of one leg
sudden weakness, numbness or bad ‘pins and needles’ of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
severe, sudden abdominal pains
a fainting attack or you collapse
unusual headaches or migraines that are worse than usual
sudden problems with speech, understanding or eyesight
The side effects listed above are possible signs of a blood clot (thrombosis).
jaundice (yellowing skin or yellowing eyes)
you cough up blood
breast lumps
unexplained vaginal bleeding.

Thank you Kittykat7, I had been on dianette as a teenager and actually experienced no problems whatsoever, it wasn't until I hit twenty that i realised they were causing me to feel quite low - i came off them and felt fine!

Now my skin has become worse again the dr recommended I start taking them again as I have taken all the different routes with other pills but just haven't got on with them.

Because I don't smoke, drink and am generally active and healthy I don't think he saw a risk of blood clot too worrying.

But I think I will go back to him to get checked out. My head does feel bad today.

I took Microgynon for years with no problem. I tried it again 10 years later & it made my depression so much worse.
You could try for your skin taking 1000mg Vit C & Zinc both separately not in a multi vitamin as not enough in one tablet.
It helps the skin, gums & healing. Zinc is used for acne treatment.
I would probably discontinue the Dianette if you are having that reaction. Maybe Yasmin might suit you better as that also as anti androgenic properties in it. Though I have heard in the UK it's expensive so not sure if you'd have a problem getting it prescribed.

Ooh ok thats useful might try that.

Ah yeah I was put on yasmin but it gave me headaches. It seems my body rejects all types of pill!

Definitely going to have to look at alternative methods of keeping my skin under control.
