Hormonal at 38? Advice about symptoms please

Hi all
Long story but basics are:
I have an auto immune thing which causes all sorts of symptoms but of late I've been wondering if my hormones are to blame for some?
I have hot flushes, I feel hot from the inside like I have a temp but I don't (never lasts long) bit of wooziness (disconnected) emotions all over the shop (extremes of sadness then really happy) periods have always been regular and heavy for 4 or 5 days now they are über heavy for 2 days then peters out for 3 ish.
This morning I wiped and seemed to have slight spotting, just noticed it's a bit discoloured, I'm not due for ten days and don't normally get anything I between periods.
Could this be perimenopause? I'm 38, 39 in dec, my mum and sister hit the menopause early to mid 40s.
I had a blood test for it last year which was fine but I understand just one test isn't enough to prove anything?
I'm trying not to worry about it bring something sinister (I'm a massive worrier) because it's not actual blood?
Any advice would be great.
Xx

Try not to worry for starters

Your mum and your sister- was it all over by early mid 40s- no more periods- or is that when they had symptoms?

The wind down during peri can take between 5-10 years, so it's possible you are experiencing that.

The classic advice is to keep a chart of your periods for 6 months then if they are to pot and you feel crap, see your GP.

Loads of info on the Daisy network- have a google and read.
If you have a menopause before 45 you have to take HRT up to the age of the average menopause- 52 at least, otherwise you are at high risk for heart disease and osteoporosis in middle age.

I've come on today, 9 days early. Bit concerned it's something more sinister as I'm so regular normally x
