DH has an odd heart beat, should I drag him to the Drs?

Last night was lying on DHs chest listening to his heart beat.
I was co-ordinating my breathing with it (don't ask) and realised that we kept going out of sync.

I listened more carefully and noticed that his heart appears to "hiccup" every now and then.
It is like lub dub, lub dub, ...dub lub dub, lub dub.

Eeeeek!
I mentioned it and he got worried and asked if he was going to die. I fobbed him off telling him that it was due to stress or too much caffeine.

I am concerned, should I be?

Heart beat does vary with breathing, but honestly if you are worried get him to go and have a check up. The alternative is to get really stressed and anxious. You don't say how old he is, or if he is otherwise healthy, or stressed, but for your peace of mind I would say talk to GP. Most surgeries should have an ECG machine these days.

40, just given up his 20+ a day smoking habit.
Stress head, unfit and drinks too much sweet tea.

I googled and think it may be an "ectopic heartbeat" which makes me feel better.
