SOrry if this is a bit grim - On advise I have found here I have stuck a tampon up me with some natural yoghut on I am on a diet and could do without those extra calories!!). How long do I have to leave it up there for? When I do change it do I just stick another one up there like I would do if I had a period?? Oh and also do I have to smuther it around the outside area as well??

It has to be "live" yogurt. I must be honest and say that i have never actually met anyone who has had great success with this - personally i have tried it in the past with no success. I just buy canesten or similar over the counter. If you ask for a generic / own brand version it is cheaper. Even better is the tablet you swallow - but not if you are pregnant.

works for me .. better than canesten

yes needs to be live natural yogurt and I tended to leave it up there for a couple of hours (but that was laziness and then repeat .. oh and if I was itchy I'd smother the outside and wear a sanitary towel .. though probably not if going to be out and about

Are you on about the Pessary - I thought this was meant to go inside your vagina - not your mouth? or is there another tablet that you take orally? I will put it on the outside area when I go to bed?? If this doesn't work I will get the live stuff tomorrow - I knew I would end up buying the wrong thing. Thanks for your advise btw.

There is a pessary/cream system, but there is also an oral treatment that you can buy over the counter. Can't remember name, but it is a single pill that you swallow - sorts it out within 24 hours. There is an expensive one and a couple of cheaper generic brands. I always buy one to take on holiday, just in case, put in the bag with the calpol and the windease!
