Weird periods after 2nd child - Is this normal?

Apologies for TMI....My period seems to be lasting 2 weeks. I had ds (2nd child) in Aug 2013 and my period returned 5 months after he was born. I have about 3 days of what I would call heavy spotting (need a liner or very light pad), then 2-3 days of very heavy period (super plus tampons + pad which need to be changed every 1.5-2 hours and sometimes that isn't enough) then days of heavy spotting/light period and this is lasting up to 2 weeks in total. It is annoying and I leaves me feeling not well. Not unwell per se, but constantly knackered, irritable, it is costly buying all the sanitary stuff and I get caught out in embarrassing situations.. (2 kids doesn't help I know) My periods have been weird as I had PCOS before kids, but now my cycle seems to have settled into a 34 day cycle. Is this normal? Should I see a doc? Can I do anything about it?

Could you be anaemic? It normally makes cycles heavier, when you need iron the most.
