Three day headache, nausea, exhaustion?

Hi there, I wondered if anyone could shed any light on what's going on with me this week - still feeling lousy and not sure what to do for the best now. I have two dc and this is v difficult with them around...

I had a demanding day Monday, came home 3.30 with a bad headache which got worse, ended up in bed in the dark at 5pm. Awful night with headache, and dreams of severe headache.... head still bad Tuesday, and nauseous, laying/sitting in dark/deep shade for a lot of the day. Felt a bit better yesterday, headache calmer, nausea improved, just exhausted.. so did stuff... Today worse again, headache worse, nausea worse, slept all morning in the dark, now sitting up feeling rubbish with the curtains drawn.

I've taken paracetamol off and on through this. (Tuesday's with a diet coke seemed to help!) But feel like I'm going backwards.

Pain is sometimes one-sided but not always, more thumping on front half and not sure its bad enough/no visual probs to be a migraine?

Anyhow any advice very welcome - thanks.

It does sound like migraine. I had one lasting 3 days like that. I found when I woke up after day 3 I thought the headache had gone but it came back. I just wanted to sleep all the time. You need some painkillers with codeine in. I find paracetamol does nothing for migraines. You can rake Motilium 10 for the nausea you can buy from the chemist.

Thanks Kitty - I'm glad its not just me with the paracetamol... codeine - makes me constipated! Oh well will have to send dh out for prune juice. But I definitely just want to sleep all the time... ok will have a read about migraine too...

Severe headaches can cause nausea. It truly is rather common. Food poisoning harm to cause symptoms include vomiting, abdominal cramping, in addition to diarrhea. How do you feel at this time? If it was a headache triggered nausea you should feel relief after the headache is gone.
