Itchy girls bits...thursh?

I hope someone can help...I've had very itchy girls bits since the begining of the week. I assumes it was thursh (I've never had it before) and got a canestan oral tablet and some cream from the chemist. I took the tablet on tues and have been liberally applying the cream since then, but I still itch.
DH also had an itch early on in the week, took the tablet and seems OK
Has anyone got any experience of this, how long does it take to go? Should I take something else, a pessary maybe.
I'm getting sick of squirming in my chair, trying not to scratch!

Could the cream now be irritating you? The tablets are usually enough to get rid of thrush. It certainly sounds like it if your DH has had it too.

Also, you may have scratched to much and now it's itching as it heals?

Hope it goes away soon.... I know how horrible it is. I remember being in the shopping centre and having to find public loos all the time to give myself a good scratch! YUCK!

I seem to get an allergic reaction to the cream which makes the itching worse! So now I just get a pessary and be done with it
perhaps you could be allergic Dickers?
