Odd neurological(?) symptons. Not sure if it's medication or something else.

I'm on Gabapentin for neuropathic pain, after a Lupus, flare. I'm gradually increasing my dose.

Today I felt very out if it for a while. I've had the feeling of water dropping on my head and one side of my face felt numb. By dinner time I had a very small problem of opening my mouth. I've had a rushing sound/feeling in my head on and off.
I was able to make dinner etc.

I have pins and needles and numbness around my mouth but I've had this for weeks.

Is anyone on Gabapentin and do these symptoms sound like side effects from it?

Thanks Smile.

I'm on gabapentin. I have occasional feelings of being a bit disconnected with things, but nothing else like you describe.

I can have strange feelings in my face, but that's related to the trigeminal neuralgia that I take the gaba for in the first place.

Thanks, disconnected is just the word I was looking for Grin.
I've had a lot of funny nerve type things since my last flare, I think they are connected to that.

I worry I'm having stroke Blush

It's worth getting checked out, Coco. x

I looked at the stroke stuff fab. I think I am slighty higher risk because of the Lupus.
If I still feel odd in the morning I'll phone my gp.

Thanks for the replies Smile

I'd that disconnected feeling on Gaba (on amytriptaline now).

But the odd sensations - I'd be looking for advice tonight/tomorrow at latest (I have a neuro disability and have to contact my ward with things like this).
