Laprascopic Hysterectomy .... What to expect??

Will be having this in a few months and am fit and healthy... Just wondering about recovery times etc and what generally to expect. I am having essure coils removed and this is the only sure option.

You'll find loads of really great stuff at The Hysterectomy Association I found the forums particularly good - covering every possible question and full of women going through the same stuff in the same timeframe.

I felt well very quickly afterwards - kept a swelly belly for a while after though, and was surprised by how tired I got. Had to keep on reminding myself what that was about. The scars are tiny and it's easy to forget that actually the surgery inside is still quite significant.

I think it's all in the planning too - there's lots of advice on preparation on the HA site (little things like taking a pillow for under the seatbelt for the journey back from the hospital, or using a travel kettle).

Go on - nip over to the HA, you'll be glad you did!
