Following on from my previous thread (have lumpy type thing at back of throat that's not responding to various antibiotics back to back and don't have any faith in my gp)... Can I just ask my GP for a referral or is it something they have to suggest? I'm not really happy with just carrying on with antibiotics and hoping it'll go away. I need some reassurance its not something more sinister and I don't trust my GP! It's not so much getting a second opinion as it is trying to get a single diagnosis!
