Has anyone experienced sudden changes in their monthly cycle?

I've always had a relatively uneventful monthyl cycle, but it has changed since I got the copper coil.

I was on the implant, but got it removed and switched to the coil. When I started to have regular periods again, they were different to before; instead of having an initial flood followed by a steady trickle for 5 days, it was a steady trickle for 5 days followed by a flood

Also, I'm experiencing some proper bloating around ovulation time and spotting slightly (not proper blood, just small amounts of pink discharge).

I am 32 and have had 2 kids. I also have an underactive thyroid (recently diagnosed), if that's helpful.

Any wisdom? Is this normal-ish?

What kind of copper coil is it? I had a gynefix, and i used to have a few days spotting before my period (good in a way, like an early warning)! I also got the most uncomfortable ovulation pain and spotting at that point. It did settle down after a while. And now, post DD I have a different type of coil in and don't get any of those symptoms! Still prone to ov pain but not as much. HTH :)
