Dry skin on feet

I have always had really dry skin on my feet. Very flakey.

My question is am I doing something wrong? Do you moisturise every day? Or do you think I should go to the docs about it?

Certainly worth showing it to the doctor, just to rule out some kind of fungal infection. Does it change at all depending on what you wear on your feet? My feet get desperately dry and tight-feeling when I wear sandals all the time, but not really flakey, and not so bad in winter.

If there's nothing sinister then yes, moisturise daily. Modern foot creams are amazing... I think flexitol led the way, but now scholl and probably lots of others use the same kinds of ingredients, which actively soften and repair damaged skin (also fantastic for cracked/chapped lips).

As long as there's no underlying problem, I'd also recommend some gentle exfoliation. Try using a foot scrub, then moisturiser before bed (I sometimes slather it on and put socks on to keep it off the sheets).
