DS seems to have a v and d bug since yesterday teatime. He last vomited at lunchtime today after 1 bite of lunch! He is finding it v hard to sleep and then had one bout of d tonight.

I have not really fed him anything all day apart from a yoghurt at lunchtime and a dry cracker and a bit of cucumber at 5ish. It was after that when he had the diarroeah. He had half strenghth milk (with water) at bedtime.

So really just wondered what I should be offering him tomorrow, if anything?!

Try and keep feeding him but they key is to keep him hydrated so lots and lots of water. How old is he - could he have any of the dirolyte stuff? You should try and avoid dairy whilst they've got v & d as it can further aggravate it so the diluted milk is a good plan.

He is 20 months. I am finding it tough to get him to drink fluids and actually resorted to syringing water into his mouth this afternoon. He normally drinks a lot! I will stay away from dairy tomorrow apart from his diluted milk and see how we get on...

Just keep the diet light for the next few days....dry toast, plain biscuits etc. Make sure the drinks you give have sugar in it...7up flattened is good, dioralyte or sugar and water....little ones drop their blood sugar a lot faster than adults so it is vital to keep fluids with sugar going!Hope he is improving!

Thanks for asking
He was sick first thing after his haf milk/ half water. Took him to GP and she said it's probably a virus! Advised me not to give any milk and a prescription for dioralyte. He has not had any further d or v today. I offered him small bits of rich tea throughout the day then tonight he had 1 and a half fishfingers- he would have had a little more but didn't want to push it. He perked up a lot after that so I am hopeful for the night and morning.

TOD- I will get him some 7up tomorrow. He will probably enjoy it
