Hiya can anyone help I think I've had food posioning today, I've checked online and all my symptoms say it was. I'm breastfeeding my daughter can it go through to her? Also because I am breast feeding will my body react quicker to it than other peoples, no one else was sick while I was there?
I'm never sick I'm normally fit and healthily
Thank you please help

I'm sorry to hear your ill.
If you can keeop taking in liquid, keeping feeding your baby is best.
kellymom is my default choice for breastfeeding info, and they agree.

If you have food poisoning, you can not pass it on to your baby. If you've picked up an infection, your body is fighting it, and so any antibodies will be passed on to your baby in your milk.

I'd suggest being as careful as you can with hand and toilet hygiene.

Hope your better soon, and your baby doesn't pick up anything - if they do, breastmilk is the best thing for them.

I've breastfed her now for nearly 9 months she won't take a bottle so there's no chance of weening her anytime soon of breast any time soon. Fingers crossed she doesn't and it was just food posioning I feel fine now thank you x
