Am I being a big girlie's blouse?

For the past couple of weeks I've been having pretty bad pain in most of my joints. Worse in shoulders, elbows, wrists & fingers but now seems to be spreading to my back, hips, knees, ankles, feet too. I would have written off the leg pain as down to me being a bit overweight, but not the arms & hands! I'm also much clumsier than usual. Pain starts off as like toothache in the joints in the morning but my evening it's really quite bad.
I've got an appointment to see the doc tomorrow (DH is making me go)but I feel like such a wuss going and whinging about aches & pains.
Am I being a big girlie blouse???

Agree, you don't sound like a whinger, get it seen to.

no you should go, not being wussy. you need to get it checked out

DH is more worried than me, but have to agree it;s getting worse. I've already got pins & needles in my forearms & hands today ....Might have to get myself some chocolate to cheer myself up

Of course you're not being a wuss. Hopefully your doctor will be able to help it go away. Its horrible and debilitating to be in pain - to an extent that you often don'[t realise until it goes away. And you owe it to yourself and your family to be in as good nick as you possibly can be.

Went to chemist at lunch for some painkillers. He gave me max strenth ibruprofen but it's not touched it [whingy emoticon]. I'm wondering if I've pinched a nerve in my neck/back or something, but it's not sharp pain - it's dull throbbing type

OK - went to docs. He's sending me for X-ryas on Friday to rule out arthritis - but he thinks it could be fibromyalgia. I looked at the FM help web site and I realise that I have some of the other symptoms (not google-itis, it just seems to make sense of how I've been feeling lately).
Does anyone know anyone/have it? And advice?
