Hi,

If any of you ladies have PCOS is it possible to let me know what your cycles are like if you have periods?

I went to the dr last summer and its only now that I have a consultation with fertility in September. But this is about periods (sorry if it is long).

I miss periods sometimes or may have two in one month (in my teens I would miss periods for up to four months) but the last two periods I have had, have been brown spotting for a week, then heavy gushes of blood, then nothing for a day then spotting. I am on my second week now and it is really getting me down. I just would like to know if this is normal for PCOS or something else. (Cant go back to drs as my app is in September at hospital.)

TIA x

I have PCOS and my periods are all over the place! I can go months without one, have one every month for 3 months and then nothing again for ages. If I don't have a period for months, when I eventually have one, it is very heavy for about 5 days (as in, I have to change my sanitary protection every hour and have to 'bulk up' with it and layers of clothing when I go to bed). I once had one that lasted like that for 2 weeks and when I went to see my GP, he wasn't worried, just gave me Cerazette to stop the bleeding Confused I don't think there is a 'normal for PCOS' because we're all different Thanks

Hi Iamanightout, did the cerazette work? Do you know when you ovulate?
