This is laryngitis isn't it?

For the third time in 6 months I think.

Feel achy and tired.
Slight temperature
Have lumpish feeling at front of and inside my throat
Historically this happens and then just as the ill feeling abates my voice disappears for 72 hours.

Am fed up. Haven't ever been to gp with it so am just wondering!

I think it is different for different people.

With me,it started with a very bad sore throat, feeing very ill and a high temperarure. I too lost my voice a couple of days later. However, after just one course of Abs I never had it again and that was 15 years ago.
I didn't have a lump in my throat but more tentacles of mucous gripping my voice box.
Also as a short lived after effect, I had a brilliant alto opera singing voice which lasted a week or so and then disappeared never to return again.

You shouldn't have had it 3 times in the last 6 months.
Could it be tonsilitis?
