ds (2.5) has been out of sorts the past few days. I thought it was because his daytime naps/bedtime routine were all over the place.
He was up a couple of times, distraught on Thurs night - not much sleep. Sent home from nursery on Friday from being upset and a wee bit sick after snacktime. He then slept for 2 and a half hours. In bed Friday night -slept through for 12 hours. Happy enough all day Sat - but only drank milk and a little bit of pizza for tea. Was really unsettled last night - not crying - but just dozing and tossing and turning. Has only had milk so far today and I've just noticed non smelling wax around his ear - when cleaning it - it is quite oily and liquid.
Has something burst? I do remember on Wed he put his finger in his ear and yelped.

THis happened to ds, he made no fuss and didn't cry/run a temp etc. I was amazed when the doc told me it was a rupured ear drum

had antibiotics and he healed just fine.

thanks girls, went to gp and ds has an ear infection in the outer ear. gp gave antib drops but said it would clear up itself but just take longer - or speed it up and use drops.
