help... 2 weeks and period still going

Started 2 weeks ago today.... had about 5 days of light, brown bleeding, about 3 days of very heavy clots and then back to light, bright red this time. Now clots and brown again. I've been to the GP as each period comes quicker than the last (just 2 weeks between start if this one and end of last. He's ordered ultrasound and blood tests, but with this one still going (almost feels like it's started again) I'm getting a bit worked up

I'm 28 btw

Not been on any contraceptives since I fell pregnnant with DC3 - 4 years ago

Can anyone offer any reassurance? Have to wait two before I can get a blood test and longer for ultrasound

Hi I'm suffering something similar. Period over 3 weeks ago but continued lightly for a fortnight and then trailed off for a few days and just started again yesterday and more today.
I saw my doc last week and had to poas but was neg thankfully I'm past that at 38!
I had to go back for internal when bleeding stops so hoping by wed it might.
I'm worried sick but even my breasts are tender and my stomach feels like it does during a normal period.
Your doc sounds like they are doing what they should and you might have sone answers soon. But I understand its the waiting thats difficult as your mind wanders and then you go on Google! !
Its a bit pot and kettle here but try not to worry, what has tour doc said?

I am having similar issues, have always had 27-31 day cycles with heavy bleeding, but since having a mirena coil fitted, then it falling out (!) my cycles have gone to pot, I have had a month of constant bleeding, then a 21 day cycle which I bled for 14 days of, then a 14 day cycle which I bled for 11 days off before a heavy period starting up again and just had a big fooding episode on Tuesday night (huge clots, scary amounts of blood lost) so my GP Has referred me to the menstrual disorders clinic.

Im worried .... but not worried that its anything serious/sinister, Im sure its hormonal upheaval and possibly early menopause (Im 36).

My GP has given me norethisterone 5mg to take 3 times a day from days 5 to 26, anyone else had this?

I do need to do a pregnancy test though!

Try not to worry. It sounds hormonal but you need to get checked out. I also had similar erratic bleeding for about 6 months after an early miscarriage.

Hope you can share your experience since you have been worried sick . I am in same situation but with a 2.5 ruptured cyst that’s all I know for now.
