torn cartilege in knee

This happened to me 3 weeks ago. I am on painkillers, icepacks, have had physio due for mri scan tomorrow as pain now includes the kneecap. The pain is variable and moves round but is constant. Does anyone else have experience of this? Am getting fed up now can't work, walk dog, garden etc.

I had this, had to have keyhole surgery to repair it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm terrified it may be surgery but can't go on like this for much longer. Anyone else?
