My ribs are purring?!?

Went to a&e last night with chest and back pain. ECG and lungs fine with 100% oxygen sats. It hurts to take deep breath on my left side and there's a bubbling purring sensation?!

Sounds like trapped wind.. did they not give you any suggestions when they ruled out the serious stuff? Trapped wind is pretty painful though.
