Anyone else had one? Mine discovered at repeat smear last week, after cone biopsy last year to remove bad cells (CIN3 and CGIN result) couldn't do smear as bleeding too much from polyp which is too large and unusual shape for GP to remove, been referred back to hospital colposcopy clinic. Anyone got experience of these polyps? I'm not easily scared, so fire away!!

Hi, sorry to hear you have a polyp
I had one 2 years ago and had it removed at the same time as having a mirena coil fitted and an internal scan for fibroids.
I was awake throughout the procedure and could watch on the screen if I wanted to Hmm
I didn't feel pain as such, just a bit of discomfort. Afterwards I had cramps like period pain which lasted a few hours.
Good luck

I've had them twice. Both times taken out as a hospital outpatient. Like Honey said, a bit of discomfort but fine the next day. Good luck :)
