Rotten old cold sore

I know this is minor but u have a cold sore on my cheek - to the right of my mouth. It is gross.

I know it will run its course but would be grateful for any tips and tricks you have for either speeding up its demise or covering it up; the NHS choices website said teething gel which I have been using at night but if there's any magic out there I would love to know! Thank you!

Apologies. I have a cold sore, not 'u'. Well, you might do, I just don't know.

Cold sores are horrid ,horrid .

I've seen these [http://www.compeed.co.uk/compeed-coldsore/invisible-cold-sore-patch?gclid=CMzo-qi6i78CFcbKtAodSQUAMQ#how-it-works] in shops but haven't tried them .
The blister plasters they make are the business .
