Ears still blocked after flying Sunday

How long should it take for my ears to unblock? I flew on Sunday and the descent really affected me. This has happened before but they normally clear within a few hours.

Since the flight one ear (it seems to alternate) has ringing and feels blocked and echoes when I walk. It's not painful just annoying. It seems to get worse as day goes on. I've tried the usual yawning etc

I've tried getting a gp appointment but unless you spend 8-9am ringing constantly you can't get through and all appointments taken and it's not an emergency so they won't see me.

But 5 days after flying isn't normal is it? My eardrums burst when I was a teenager and I've never experienced pain like it so really want to avoid that! Is it worth the walk in?

Next time you sneeze make sure you sneeze through your nose. Also worth trying an over-the-counter decongestant. If they haven't cleared after this weekend I'd call the GP and say it's for an ear infection.
