Dentist dilemma: WWYD?

Hi everyone,

I have to make a decision about what to do with regard to some dental treatment and am a bit confused. Would really appreciate your thoughts.

I currently have two dentists, let's call them Dr Marie in town X and Dr Sarah in town Y, as I'm living in two places at the moment.

Dr Marie says I need to have 1) a filling in tooth A and 2) I need to have a new filling in tooth B as this filling I already have is leaking. Tooth B had root canal treatment above it about 15 yrs ago, but don't think that's connected.

Dr Sarah says 1) tooth A doesn't need a filling ( she's had a watch on it for a year and doesn't think it looks to have changed) and 2) that tooth B doesn't need a whole new filling but a simple repair as it has 'a bit of ditching' (?) which I wouldn't even need to be numbed for.

So now I don't know what to do.

My instinct is a bit 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' and to go with Dr Sarah - neither actually hurt, but it's tricky when professionals give you differing advice. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!
