It's a vaccine, not a herb!

aaronsmummy · 05/09/2006 19:35

Well homeopathy is not a herb!!!!! That is herbal remedies.

Hi aaronsmummy. There are homeopathic strategies. I'm not sure what the approach is exactly but my understanding is that it has to do with supporting the immune system more generally and helping to sort out any weaknesses as part of a more holistic approach.

There may well be some more sensible people on the thread later. I know some MNers are quite knowlegable on the subject.

Meanwhile I recommend the book Mass Immunisation - A Point in Question, bu Trevor Gunn. He started life as a micro biologist and is now an esteemed homeopath. He also gives great lectures.

Good luck. A word of warning ... if you choose any path which isn't along the established medical route, you can expect people to feel free to critisise and be rude to you. Ignore them. Do what you believe to be best for you child and let the bullying wash over you.

Thanks for that Spidermama, I just want to explore every option as ds2 is asd and don;t want to take any risks with dd.

Absolutely aaronsmummy. I think you're wise to question things for yourself. The choice is a tough one for every parent and is by no means clear cut.

I also found this by Aviva Jill Romm to be a good sensible read.

Good luck with your research.

Hi aaronsmummy, I've used homeopathy alot (not in this context though so can't give you any specific advice) and I have found alot of info online when I googled.
You could also try speaking to a classical homeopath in your area and you can find one, hopefully, here and/or here
