Arthritis... What do I need to know?

Just been confirmed that I have arthritis, I also have a labral tear in my hip which hopefully will get less painful.
I have always had funnyjoints and have been told the chances of early arthritis was a possibility (50)
I know I need to loose weight and start some strength training to strengthen my muscles, but is there anything obvious I'm missing to change or start/stop.

So sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis.
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis from when I was young, so I understand how you feel.
I would advise not to put to much expectation on yourself as the disease is unpredictable and you will become frustrated with not be able to do what you used to be able too.
If you have a bad day and need to go to bed, listen to what your joints and your body tells you. Keep on top of medication and pain relief, and make the most of your good days. Hope that helps, it's taken me a long time to accept the RA. Oh and also keep with positive people who lift you up. x
