Colleague suddenly had inability to write last week or use his writing hand. No problems with speech, or facial paralysis. He does have a weight problem and is under a lot of stress. He is a lovely bloke and I'm worried about him.

How old is he? He should definitely get checked out. TIAs (mini strokes) are warning signs.

That said, age doesn't matter. I had one at the age of 18, it was terrifying.

Have his symptoms resolved after24/48 hrs? That's usually the case with a mini stroke or TIA. If the symptoms have remained then it is def worth getting checked out, an early symptom of Parkinson's is difficulty with writing.

He is off work for the foreseeable. Dr thinks it is. Sad
