Skin tag

Please do not read on if you are at all squeamish.

So, I have a skin tag near one of my arm pits, under my bra strap. I showed my doctor and he confirmed it was indeed a skin tag.

Anyway, my current problem is it has gone really weird and I wondered if anyone else had experienced the same. (I do have a doctors appt to check it out but other's experiences would be fab!)

Basically, it definitely hadn't cut, been caught on anything but it started to look a bit like a scab from the top but is retaining the delightfully flappy flap of skiness that only a skin tag can have. It's almost as if it is withering away from the top down. Could it be doig this because my bra strap is pressing against it?

It is so weird. Does this sound at all familiar to ANYONE? Is this weird/ something more sinister?

it may have got dislodged and the blood supply cut off which is why it is starting to die off. Snip it, snip it, snip it!!! (I have got dh to cut a big one off in my armpit before)

Oh lord! I couldn't do it. I shall wait for it to fall off of its accord or one day accidentally whip it off with a towel.

This may be an old way to remove them, but you could tie a piece of cotton around the base of it and within a day or so it will have dropped off. The blood supply will be cut. It may sting initially as you tie the cotton, as it needs to be tight and flush with the rest of your skin. Always worked for me!!
